Floyd Mayweather Jr., whose real name is  Floyd Joy Sinclair, was born on February 24, 1977 in Grand Rapids, MI.  He is undefeated since making his start in boxing on October 11, 1996,  and has a record of 38-0 .   In July, 2005, he was named by as the best pound-for-pound boxer by the The Ring Magazine.   He has six world boxing victories in five different weight classes and he is currently the WBC welterweight champion.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a proud member of the storied Mayweather boxing family. His father, Floyd Mayweather, Sr.  was a famous welterweight contender. One of his uncles, Jeff Mayweather, is a former IBO super featherweight  champion. Another uncle, former two-division world champion Roger Mayweather, is Mayweather Jr.'s current trainer.

Ricky Hatton who was born in 1978 in Greater Manchester, England is a British Boxer.  Many people consider him to be one of the greatest British boxers of all time and in November 2007, he was ranked the eigth best pound for pound boxer in the world by Ring Magazine. 

Hatton is a two-time IBF and IBO Light Welterweight Champion, having relinquished the IBF belt, only to step back down to the weight class and beat Juan Urango. He was the WBA Welterweight Champion, but gave up the title on August 31, 2006.  Hatton is also the former WBU, WBA Light Welterweight  Champion and WBC, WBA, WBO Inter-Continental Light Welterweight Champion.
